Lovey’s Pet Service was named in honor of my beloved rescue dog, Lovey. She brought incredible joy, gentleness, and comfort into my life. This business is my way of carrying her sweet spirit forward — ensuring every pet I care for feels safe, loved, and truly seen.
I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and spent years pursuing my education and career path. But through it all, one thing remained constant — my love for animals. Caring for pets has always felt natural to me. Over time, I realized that following my heart meant building something of my own, centered around the joy and connection animals bring into our lives.
Starting Lovey’s Pet Service was my leap of faith — a way to turn lifelong passion into meaningful, dependable care for others. I wanted to create a service where pets feel comfortable, understood, and genuinely cared for, and where pet parents feel completely at ease.
Every animal is different. Some thrive on long walks and outdoor adventures, while others prefer quiet companionship and gentle reassurance. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or just needs a little extra patience, I take the time to build trust and create a calm, positive experience tailored just for them.

Lovey’s Story
Lovey’s story is nothing short of a miracle.
She was found neglected, suffering from a large tumor and a myriad of other health issues. When she first came into my life, my intention was simply to help. I took her to the vet to be scanned for a microchip and planned to bring her to a local animal shelter so she could hopefully find the care she needed.
But as I was leaving the veterinary office, something incredible happened.
The head veterinarian gently stopped me and said, “Please don’t take her to the shelter. In her condition, she may be euthanized.” Then, in an act of extraordinary kindness, he offered to perform the surgeries she desperately needed for a fraction of the cost — just $500.
That moment changed everything.
Thanks to that veterinarian’s compassion, Lovey was given a second chance. She underwent surgery, recovered, and not only survived — she thrived.
And somewhere along the way, she stopped being “a dog I was helping” and became my dog.
Lovey stayed with me for three beautiful years. Years filled with quiet companionship, resilience, trust, and a kind of unconditional love that only a rescued animal can give. She taught me patience. She taught me presence. Most of all, she taught me how powerful it is to give an animal safety and love when they need it most.
When she passed, she left a permanent imprint on my heart.
Lovey’s Pet Service exists because of her. It’s built on the belief that every animal deserves compassion, dignity, and devoted care. Her gentle spirit lives on in every walk, every visit, and every pet I have the privilege to care for.
She was my miracle — and this business is her legacy.

I have to say how pleased I was by leaving my old dog with Kathleen. My Luna needs extra help because she is blind and becomes quite anxious when out of her own setting. Kathleen did a fabulous job walking, feeding, eye drops and was even able to get her to a dog park! Luna stayed with Kathleen just overnight. When I went to pick her up she didn’t want to leave!
